The residence is located in the entrance of Diagonal, next to Palau Reial. We have a large parking that residents and their family can use. If you come from Andorra, you will have to cross Diagonal to Zona Universitaria.

If it’s during the working day, you can come when you like! Otherwise, call us on +34 93 144 01 40 or send us an email and we’ll organize a visit for you.

It’s up to you. Between 10 minutes and an hour. We want you to find the your ideal accommodation.

Of course. However, we encourage you to come and get to know us and get a better idea of how living in Aleu will be.

We’ll visit the common areas including the gym and the restaurant. You will also have the opportunity to try the studio chair and measure the closet, so you can figure it out how many clothes you are able to bring.

It’s a simple, 4 step process*:

2. We’ll contact you once we have received your application. If you want to speed up the process, call us on +34 93 144 01 40.
3. Once you’ve finalised the application process, to confirm your place in Residencia Universitaria Aleu you need to pay €250 as a reservation fee. This fee will form part of the Damage Deposit of 800€. The 250€ reservation fee is fully refundable until the 31st of May. From the 1st of June, we’ll only refund this fee if the student is not accepted into a University in Barcelona.
4. Sign the contract.

We need all this documentation before you move into the Residencia Universitaria Aleu. You can send them scanned by email and bring the originals when you check-in.

Residència Universitària Aleu has a minimum stay of 1 academic year (9monts), normally from September to the end of June of the following year.

Yes, but the contract extension is not automatic and it depends on summer groups. Please, if you want to request a summer stay, do it as soon as possible.

Yes. The academic year fee can be spread into monthly payments by direct debit, but if you make one single annual payment, we’ll give you a 5% discount.

There are three concepts in terms of payment:

The payments are made in 4 steps:

1. €250 (part one of the Security Deposit) to guarantee your place – within 5 working days from receiving the offer of a place.
2. €550 to complete the Security Deposit of €800 – to be paid between 1^st and 30^th June. [These two payments together form the SECURITY DEPOSIT]
3. 1st August – payment of the RENT GUARANTEE. The amount is equal to one month’s rent plus VAT and should usually be paid by direct debit. The RENT GUARANTEE is a binding part of the RESERVATION.

Subsequently, the payments will be by direct debit in the first 5 days of the month.

Yes. Well, supposing that you don’t break anything – including the terms of the contract, especially the minimum stay requirement!

Full-board pensión, all utilities and the use of the common areas. Cleaning, bed linen and towels. Wifi, CCTV 24h, maintenance and a great management team. If you live in a studio, you can have full-board pensión as an extra service.

Your takeaway sushi, the laundry of your own clothes, photocopies and parking.

Even though our residence is mixed, the rooms are not. In twin rooms, both residents must be the same sex.

You can tell us the one you like the most and we’ll try to pour best, so sometimes, we can’t guarantee it.

You should arrive on the fist day of your contract. If you need to arrive earlier, please, consult us.

Your stuff! Your room is fully equipped but bring a network cable, your favorite photo, some hangers…

Bed linen or towels. Neither too much stuff, you won’t need it!

Yes and we also change them every week.

As long as you leave it as you found it, there won’t be any problem. Otherwise, we might have to charge for damages.

Even though we love animals, no.

Yes and you will find two types of washers and dryers. One works with an app, and the other one is coin operated.

Yes. We will take your letters and packets. Please note cautiously the policy concerning the mail service in the contract.

Inside no, and it’s actually illegal. Smoking inside is strictly prohibited.

Yes. The Residence has a super-fast fibre-optic broadband connection. In your room you will also have a cable connection and there is wifi throughout the building.

Not in your room, but you can request permission to use the common areas. But you need to know that we will organise parties as well!

Overnight guests are strictly controlled. You have to ask for permission and wait for the confirmation from the management. You should plan in advance for this.

Yes and the garage has a reduced price for residents.

You may notify the reception management.

There is always someone to talk to. In your university there will be a student services department who can help you or the “Defensora de la Universidad” exists in the public universities. Our customer service team is also on hand for whatever you need. Unless it is an emergency, please make an appointment.

Leave your room as you found it: completely empty and with no damage. Let us know a couple of days before your departure and we’ll arrange the checkout inspection. Leave the keys at reception, enjoy your summer and see you next year!

If you have booked for the following year, yes. You have to package up all your stuff in boxes clearly label them, and leave them at reception. The Residencia accepts no responsibility for items left in storage.
